Chief Apostle Dr. Shirley A. Brandon was the founder of The Last Day Miracle Deliverance Churches, Inc., and the newly founding ministry Cathedral of Prayer International Ministries. She was a native of Liberty County as well as a graduate of Liberty County High School. She also attended Lincoln Business College in Jacksonville, Florida. In the year 2004, Apostle Brandon received an honorary doctorate of Divinity as well as many degrees of certificates, awards, and honors over the years.
After the Lord saved her at an early age and miraculously healed her body, she heeded the call of God while attending college "to go ye therefore and preach the gospel to the lost, heal the sick, cast out devils, cleanse the leper and raise the dead". For Forty Eight years she was committed to the call and ministry of God.
She was a preacher, teacher, pastor, overseer, evangelist, prophetess and Apostle and has served in each of these positions during the course of her ministry. Apostle Brandon has been a trailblazer and forerunner for pastors and leaders by setting up churches and ministries all over the cities and states. She traveled to Germany and abroad, preaching the gospel and winning souls for Christ.
Over the years she has preached and established over 16 churches (some now located in other ministries and organizations) which she presided over the 30 years, until called of God with a burning desire to pursue other ministry, Cathedral of Prayer International Ministries (COPIM). It is a ministry for the total man, a ministry of flames and fire, a ministry of missions and communication yet unfolding in many different ways by touching the lives of people. The ministry is designed to teach preachers, young pastors and others how to reach their destiny in God through biblical seminars, classes, and a school of higher learning (school of the prophets). Her ministry operated various ministries over the years such as a Center of Youth, C-Hope Mission, A daily bread kitchen (a hot meal a day for those in need), a food and clothing bank, the House of Hope (for hurt and battered women), a Ronald K. Foundation (for special need children) a college fund and many other outreaches.
Apostle Shirley Brandon was a member of Feed America Organization and a member of Haiti Feed the Nation (Love a Child).
She was a writer, advocate, motivator, counselor, adviser, and consultant. She has written many booklets, tracts, poetry, songs and other articles. She had a radio broadcast for over twenty years on WGML radio station.
She served as the first black female pastor and Apostle in Liberty County and the first female presiding officer of The House of God Saints in Christ Georgia District. She was serving as the Founder of The Cathedral of Prayer International Ministries.
She was profound, renowned, and an anointed flame of fire and was determined to keep the torch burning.
